Placeholder buy icon for the Heavy Assault Suit item from co-op. The Heavy Assault Suit did become a buyable item during Operation Hydra's namesake War Game.
Counter-Strike: Source console port leftovers
As Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was originally a Counter-Strike: Source port to consoles, it's no surprise there are a lot, and I mean, a lot of leftovers from that era.
Map Selection
The directory vgui\mp_sp_screens contains a lot of leftover images from when the game started life as a Counter-Strike: Source console port. The map images seem to contain differences from the maps shown in regular Counter-Strike: Source:
- All maps are shown with lighting differences from the original maps.
- Italy seems to have recieved a graphical upgrade, with a clothes line and additional lanterns being added to the left path and the floor using a different texture.
- Aztec also recieved a graphical upgrade, with the structure to the right of Double Doors having a compete design overhaul, as well as different textures and upgraded ground geometry.
- Cbble uses different textures altogether and the dead trees have been replaced with the tree models from cs_militia.
- Dust2 has some slight changes, one of them being 2 extra domes on Long A and Bombsite A respetively.
- Tides' Bombsite B/CT Spawn flags have lanterns under them.
- Train uses a different traincar model and different metal textures for the T-Heaven beams.
Multiplayer selection panel, authored in the same style as the Counter-Strike: Source scoreboard.
Buy Menu
Graphics for the radial buy menu design meant for the CS:S console port, all under vgui\buymenu. "-over" suffixed graphics were meant to be used when you hovered over that specific button.
Team Selection
Both of the team icons show completely upgraded designs for all four selectable T and CT models.
'PAX Prime' Avatars
These avatars were used for the "players" who played the game on PAX 2011.

Prototype Weapon Skins
Before the existence of weapon skins and cases, Valve started prototyping with custom weapon camouflages. These skins could be found in the 2012 and early 2013 builds of the game.
Skyboxes
Two unused skyboxes exist in the game files, one for the cut map Embassy and the other one for an older version of Vertigo.
Early R8 Revolver Icon
Before the release of the R8 revolver, Valve was prototyping with its designs. One of them can be seen in an early test design found in a HUD icon.
Unused Panorama video files
The Panorama user interface uses WEBM files for various parts of its interface. Some of them aren't used in the final game.
operation_loading.webm
This video was added in Operation Shattered Web. It depicts a glitchy logo of V Shipping Corporation, a company in the CS:GO lore.
zoo_alpha.webm and zoo_no_alpha.webm
These two were added in Operation Broken Fang. They were most likely used as placeholders for the loadout cards used in the Retake gamemode.

Inventory Icons
2020 Dust 2 Collection icon
An icon for an unreleased 2020 Dust 2 Collection can be found in the files. It's highly likely that this is an early icon for the 2021 Dust 2 Collection featured in Operation Riptide.
Unused "double store" backgrounds for cases
In the Scaleform UI, the previous iteration of the CS:GO user interface, cases were displayed in a much bigger banner in the in-game store. They occupied twice the amount of space compared to other items and they spotted a background image featuring the collections icon. Since the Panorama UI update, cases are now displayed like any other item and they display the same amount of space as other items in the store. Those "double store" backgrounds for newer cases can be found in the files, some of them have a slightly modified background.
Unused icons with backgrounds for cases
Similarly to the "double store" backgrounds, icons with backgrounds for the in-game store for the cases mentioned above exist in the files. The in-game store displays those cases without a background.
Operation Shattered Web Graffiti Box icon
An unused graffiti box graphic featuring an Operation Shattered Web logo can be found in the files. It was most likely used as a placeholder for the operation battle pass page.
Anubis Collection Package Key
At one point, the Anubis Collection was to be a regular case with its own key instead of a package that's similar to Souvenir Packages.
Console Scaleform images
ELO ranking
In the \resource\flash directory in the console release of CS:GO there seems to be a older set of "ELO" rank icons. This set excludes Elo03 for no reason. These could've been for either the competitive system or as older level up icons.
