Notes

Button Graphics

Within the game's font are characters (assigned to the bytes 0x73-0x85) representing each of the major buttons on a Game Boy Advance. The L and R icons, however, are never actually seen. In-game tutorials which call out button inputs simply do so in standard text highlighted in yellow.

Regional Differences

Presumably the original European subtitle, Back to Hell, was considered too violent and/or to have upsetting religious overtones, so the North American release of the game was renamed Back in the Trenches. This only affects places the logo is seen; in game, a villain even tells the player they're "going to burn in hell!"

The third entry in the series, subtitled BioTerror, was also announced for US release with the subtitle Navy Ops, but this version was ultimately cancelled.

In addition to the new subtitle, the US title screen adds a prominent "2" to the logo, replacing that other thing from the European logo.

The same changes were made to the main menu's backdrop.

Notably, nobody even bothered to change the game's title in the credits for the US version.
