Multiple characters across the game had their textures reduced to attempt to improve game performance. Presumably, only characters in levels that had performance issues were hit by this reduction sweep.

Bow Kid Textures
Bow Kid was originally very high quality in terms of textures. All of her textures were 2K in resolution, but now, not a single one is above 512x512, except her main diffuse texture. Ouch.

Like Bow Kid, Cooking Cat was originally all 2K textures. Even Cooking Cat's unused closed eyes texture was hit, for some reason.
Rat Texture

Express Owl Textures

These textures are color textures for the Express Owls that handle changing the color of their clothes. Their resolution was cut clean in half.

The Science Owl texture is loaded in the final game, and was reduced in resolution to preserve more memory. Even the unused alternate colors that only exist in the Modding Tools were reduced.

Snatcher's Minions were all originally 2K in resolution, but got booted all the way down to 256x256. Even its unused angry eye texture couldn't escape. Wow.

Sunburnt/Nomad Textures

All of the 'Nomads' in Alpine Skyline got hit pretty hard, especially the bigger variant. The smaller texture on the bigger variant is one of the more noticeable drops in quality.

The Lazy Paw Gang residing in Alpine Skyline got their textures chopped in half twice.
Fatty Bird Textures

Poor Fatty Bird had a significant drop in quality, but also had his eye textures seemingly redrawn. Even his unused closed eyes texture was redone.
Seal Textures
Each Seal texture was either 2K or a whopping 4K in resolution. Due to the number of Seals present in The Arctic Cruise, it's no surprise that their textures got hit hard.
Cruise Captain Texture
