4 Nin Uchi Mahjong is a mahjong game that absolutely, unequivocally, does not feature a phallic-looking object on its title screen.

Hidden Credit

4NinMahjongCredit.png

This little credit can be seen in CHR-ROM using any CHR Viewer. "M.Tobita" is Masahiro Tobita, who was a programmer for Hudson Soft.

There is no code in the ROM to see this credit properly. The only way to see this is the Reset glitch, when you load a game, then reset it, you can see when it switches the CHR page randomly (by luck) and you'll see this credit. This is because the "HUDSON" copyright is in the BG tiles page, but "TOBITA" is in the sprites page and you can't switch it during the game. Only by resetting the game can you change it accidentally.

Build Dates

This string is located at the beginning of the ROM. The dates are different between revisions.

Jong Kyo (or however you want to romanize it) was another mahjong game previously released by Hudson Soft for the MSX. The two games may have shared a title at one point as they do seem very similar. Masahiro Tobita also credited himself in the MSX game.
