Wiz 'n' Liz is an action game that tells the story of the titular characters from the planet Pum, who must reclaim all of their pet wabbits by running at blisteringly fast speeds and collecting letters that form obscure, silly words.

The game is also notable for including cameos from other Psygnosis-published games, including being able to throw tomatoes at Puggsy.

Alternate Sega Logo Screens

In order to easily pass Sega's quality checks, many variations of the Sega logo screen were implemented into Puggsy and could be selected by simply changing the version code in the ROM header. This same system also exists in the European version of this game. This is what it's set to by default:

V.0112

The numbers after "V." are as follows:

  • First digit - Unused.
0012 0112

  • Second digit - Prints the license text if set to 1, and doesn't print it if set to 0.
0002 0102 0112

  • Third digit - Shows the Fatal Rewind cameo animation if set to 1, and doesn't show it if set to 0.
0001 0101 0011

0111 0112

  • Last digit - Shows the Sega logo with TM if set to 2, shows the logo without TM if set to 1, and skips logo intro if set to 0.

Strangely, combinations that disable the text and cameo will make the Sega logo fade out immedately after appearing. These digits are removed from the header in the North American version.
