Windows 98 (NES)
Microsoft Windows 98 |
---|
Developer: Bei Tong Fang This game has unused graphics. |
Using Windows 98 on your Family Computer is a cool idea, but it's executed horribly here.
The programs are non-functional, acting more as an interactive point and click slideshow rather than usable software. It's a mystery why this was made at all...
Unused Graphics
To do: Programs for these games seem to exist. Can we make the Start Menu actually execute the game? |
There are some graphics for the extra Start Menu games near the end of the ROM. They look like Solitare and a box world-like game.
Oddities
Internet Explorer
If you open Internet Explorer from the desktop and the Sohu homepage hasn't been loaded yet, the truncation for Windows Update on top of the homepage, as well as blue blocks below it, appears to be different compared from opening Windows Update from the taskbar.
In-Game Dates
The fake BIOS screen at the start says that the system date in the setup utility is 08/18/2002, which could suggest a build date. In addition, the in-game calendar is shown to start on a Thursday, which was also the day of the week that August 2002 started on.
