Placeholder WarioWare, Inc: Mega Microgames icon

Just been looking at the menus in VBA-M's tile viewer, and this was in the Intro Games menu. Is this used anywhere at all? To me, it looks like a placeholder icon. Einstein95 04:15, 12 May 2013 (EDT)

It probably was a placeholder at some time. In the final game it is loaded with the Introduction grid. The Introduction grid has half as many microgames so it fills the rest of the spaces with that, as seen here. I was going to be adding that along with other things later today (today for me), but you can go ahead any time. --TheMonkeyBob 13:43, 12 May 2013 (EDT)

File Description

For the sound files you uploaded, make sure the description contains only {{soundfile|Game Boy Advance}}. Right now the upload wizard is messed up so it puts this other garbage in the description.--Chpexo (talk) 23:58, 5 November 2013 (EST)

Thanks for letting me know. I'll fix them. -TheMonkeyBob (talk) 00:12, 6 November 2013 (EST)

How did you rip the WarioWare Mega Microgame$! music?

Did you use GBAmusRipper or saptapper or should I use something else? --Hiccup (talk) 11:00, 9 December 2014 (EST)

I didn't technically rip the music and sounds. I used VBA's WAV recorder to record them, I modified both the ROM and the RAM to be able to play any sound file from the game, I used the name change screen to actually play the sounds, and I got the list of all sound files from the ROM. --TheMonkeyBob (talk) 13:58, 9 December 2014 (EST)
Okay. I'll try out GBAmusRipper or saptapper. --Hiccup (talk) 14:12, 9 December 2014 (EST)

WarioWare Sounds

The one with Wario saying "Yahoo" I remember being there after one of the microgames was successfully completed. The ones with Jimmy are played on the selection screen on the main menu while one of Jimmy's levels are highlighted. Larsenv (talk) 21:30, 30 September 2016 (EDT)

Unused sounds that are used in Wario Ware

Hello. You reverted my edits asking me to state where the sounds are used. And I did state so here. I took the liberty to remove the used soundfiles after nobody else did it for almost 1 year. What do you mean by sound banks and sound files? --Mugg1991 (talk) 15:12, 7 November 2017 (EST)

You seem to be confusing the sound bank and the sound files. MIDI files (and GBA audio in general I think) specifies what notes are to be played, when it is to be played, which instrument to use, the length of the note, how loud the note is, etc. The actual audio information is stored in a sound bank. In WWI all the recorded voices are broken up and stored in sound banks as notes and then implemented through the MIDI files. So while you hear Wario say "Yahoo" in the same way in two used files in the game, they are most likely using the sound bank in the same, or similar, way as the unused file. Also, sorry for not addressing your claim directly in the WWI discussion page, I was going to follow up on it but I must have forgot. --TheMonkeyBob (talk) 15:30, 7 November 2017 (EST)
Fair enough, I think you know what you're doing. But still let me ask: you're saying 2 MIDI files are used that contain the "Yahoo" sound, and 1 MIDI file also contains it but isn't used? --Mugg1991 (talk) 16:03, 7 November 2017 (EST)
That is the case. I will be done with school this December, so I will be adding a lot more info on the audio files in WWI come the new year. --TheMonkeyBob (talk) 16:08, 7 November 2017 (EST)
