Drill Dozer EU

Good Day, Prof. 9! I've seen you edited the Drill Dozer's page. Do you happens to have the European ROM? If you do, could you send it to lollo.lollo.rbiz@gmail.com ? I'd like to create a .Ips patch to make it available for everyone. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lorenzooone (talk • contribs)

I do indeed have the European ROM which I personally dumped from my own Wii U. Drill Dozer EU is not a ROM hack of the original GBA ROM like the Virtual Console versions of Super Mario Advance 4, but rather the game was recompiled as an official EU version back in 2006. So there is no way you can make an IPS patch out of it. And I'm obviously not sharing the ROM as it's being sold as a commercial product. --Prof. 9 (talk) 14:40, 5 September 2016 (EDT)

The recompilation isn't a problem. Then, if you don't want to share it, couldn't you create the patch? Just use the American ROM as the base one and the European ROM as the edited one. If .Ips isn't enough, you could create a .ups patch, since those can handle bigger formats. It's possible to make a .Ips/Ups patch, trust me.

Look at the MOTHER 3 Fan Translations, they were recompiled, but the patches are out there. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lorenzooone (talk • contribs)

Please stop soliciting this user for a ROM dump or patch. They have already stated they do not wish to do so. -Ehm (talk) 15:31, 5 September 2016 (EDT)

Hi, I'd like to inform you that the "impossible to make" patch was actually made and it's available at http://gbatemp.net/index.php?threads/440406/ .

Not thank you, learn to document yourself before talking and bye. ;) The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lorenzooone (talk • contribs)

First, learn to sign your comments on people's talk pages. Second, don't be an asshole. An IPS patch can be made from literally anything, but sharing one that converts the US release into the EU release would be getting into a really gray area considering it's being sold. Third, nobody here is under any obligation to do what you ask of them. --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 13:14, 7 September 2016 (EDT)
Lorenzooone, it seems you did not quite understand the reply I gave you, much like you don't seem to understand anything you're talking about. Let me put it in simpler terms, just for you. The IPS patch you're referring to is 5738 KB large which means it contains about 80% of the EU ROM's data, making it very much illegal to distribute. Even an alternative patch format such as xdelta would still hold the entire game's script in four different languages as well as some graphics data at the very least. More importantly, I have absolutely no interest in helping you pirate this game. It is available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop and is trivial to dump for anyone who has a European Wii U. I thought I made this fairly clear, but I guess you were too busy acting smug and arrogant to realize. --Prof. 9 (talk) 14:49, 7 September 2016 (EDT)
if you're not interested then go away and don't come to our site and start fussing about cause you can't dump stuff LetsPlayNintendoITA (talk) 08:18, 13 September 2016 (EDT)
I'm sorry, but to whom are you talking to here? -Einstein95 (talk) 08:26, 13 September 2016 (EDT)
