Possibly needless apology(?)
Hello! I know it's been a while since I made this contribution, but I wanted to apologize for something. I made a new section for the Sonic 1 Tokyo Toy Show demo talk page recently, and I saw you replied to it. In one of your edit summaries when replying to the section, you said "vaporise this user", and I was a little alarmed at that wording. I want to apologize for continually bringing up obvious hoaxes like this one. Part of me keeps hoping they're true, and I am a naturally eager person when it comes to long-lost footage like the supposed "footage" I found. I didn't mean to annoy anyone to the point of causing angry and irritated feelings and I feel bad about continually bringing up hoaxes. I thank you for your advice when you replied to me.
Anyway, I felt the need to apologize for my stubbornness, even if I don't truly need to for something as trivial as this. I am interested in getting better at recognizing hoaxes as a result of this encounter. Thank you, and have a good day! -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk) 03:49, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think an apology is necessary. I can hardly blame you for being eager to believe that you've stumbled onto something important. The strong wording I used in the edit is just a result of me getting easily annoyed, but that's a me problem. I should be the one apologising. So, I'm sorry for that.
- Also, "vaporise this user" was just a little joke. I don't think you should actually be reduced to vapours. Sorry if that wasn't clear. --Murnjendoof (talk) 05:48, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

RE: "Heavy the Mechanic"
Hello, I figure I'd bring this up here instead of getting into a potential edit war. Regarding the change on the Knuckles Chaotix article that I'd reverted then you'd un-reverted, I believe that the extant wording of 'Also, Heavy is listed as "Heavy the Mechanic", rather than "Heavy the Eggman's Mechanic" as it would by the 1207 build.' covers the pre-release screenshot, with the added text "that title being given to Bomb instead" not only not fitting the screenshot, but also being false given information from the game's manual. - Looking at it now, what you're saying seems pretty reasonable. I think I just got tripped up by the fact that you were referencing the final game's manual while editing a sentence that was only talking about the pre-release screenshot... but yeah, I suppose the wording there is a bit misleading.
