IC Hex Editor Sifting

Here's a abridged version of the IC Jam i did using HxD. Listings for ICs with no relevant contents have been stripped out.

General

  • The Font's Comma Character is unused. The exclamation point appeared to be unused at first, but i quickly realized that it was seen in the ending text. a lot of alphabet characters (including X and Z) go unused, but this isn't really worth mentioning.

IC Aso_p1.d8

  • There's text at offset 2AF -- the stock SNK ending.
  • More at 2A5B -- "GAME OVER"
  • Even more around 2BDA -- largely coinage/game related.

IC aso_p2.d7

  • Text related to the diagnostic menu at 25C1
  • High-Score Screen text at 2C78
  • Attract mode text at 2FBE

IC aso_p4.d3

  • More diagnostic-related text at 1558? "CPUB RAM OKþfûCPUB ROM0þ+ûROM1þëúROM2þþOKERROR"
