User Spaces

Hey, why did you wipe andlabs' user page? He had that information on there for a reason. Is there any particular reason you felt the need to do that? --BMF54123 14:43, 25 January 2013 (EST)

While you're free to edit your own User Page, please don't tamper with other people's user spaces! With the exception of Talk Pages, user spaces are only to be edited by their owners. You can find more information here. --GlitterBerri 14:45, 25 January 2013 (EST)
Just trying to make it more like a userpage I guess. I won't do that again.--MathUser 15:27, 25 January 2013 (EST)
It's alright. :) Your User Page can be whatever you want it to be. A profile, a sandbox for experimenting, a to do list, or just a repository of information you want to hang onto, for example. --GlitterBerri 15:33, 25 January 2013 (EST)

That he summoned

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but listen to the "SOTN_SomeoneDefeated_Alucard_Consumed.ogg" clip again. Alucard DOES say "demonic powers that he summoned." I don't want to look like I'm trying to start an edit war or anything, but he does say that. :\ // Foxhack 14:56, 1 February 2013 (EST)

A few of those lines are suspect, and I KNOW I've heard variations of them in the PSP release. I'm trying to find someone with a slightly more encyclopedic knowledge of the game than I have to verify them. --BMF54123 15:02, 1 February 2013 (EST)
A few sounded familiar to me too, but I last played the game about a year ago, and my memories of it aren't very fresh, so I can't help. -_- // Foxhack 15:07, 1 February 2013 (EST)
Hmm, I guess I missed that word. Several of them I listened to more than once yet I still missed that. Anyway, this is the script I compared the unused dialogue to:
http://www.castlevaniacrypt.com/games/sotn/script.htm
It don't have everything, mostly just the cutscenes. The sword familiar dialogue may be used but I don't remember ever triggering it. I think it would be the third intro tho and I think familiars usually have 2. Also, that one where Maria says Alucard. There's lots of clips of her saying that. But this clip was by itself without anything else accompying it. Probably why that would sound familiar. The two Richter grunts sound similar but are slightly different. Also, I don't think the PSP version uses a single english voice clip. It was all redubbed.--MathUser 15:55, 1 February 2013 (EST)
I know the dialogue was rerecorded. I'm just wondering if some of the lines I heard in the PSP version with similar "unused" equivalents here actually were used in the PSX version. I haven't played it in a while. --BMF54123 16:04, 1 February 2013 (EST)
BTW, another reason that some of these might seem familiar is cause they seem to just be alternate dialogue to what is normally said. So they follow the same story as what is actually said.--MathUser 16:01, 1 February 2013 (EST)
No worries dude. I think it would be a good idea to compare these to Youtube playthroughs of the game to see if any of these don't pop up once in a while. :) // Foxhack 16:11, 1 February 2013 (EST)
I also watched a Youtube playthrough, yes. Most of it anyway. It was a compilation of the games cutscenes and had a few other audio clips as well. BTW, I think the Succubus and Richter Game Over audio clips and the prayer in the chapel are played in the PSP versions, all regions. But I don't know for sure so I didn't bother adding that to the article.--MathUser 19:04, 1 February 2013 (EST)

MK2 Ninja Sprite

The "throwing something on the ground" sprite is the same as Reptile's. You can't just assume it's throwing something on the ground. Sure it's your sprite that you ripped, but look closely:

MK2NinjaSpriteComparison.png

Notice how the ninja sprite has the same pose as Reptile's, except it's in a Sub-Zero-like palette. Also, i noticed he's not throwing a projectile, but rather doing it on himself. I can't determine whether that male ninja is Sub-Zero or not, but i think it's a wrong palette or something. Mario Weaboo 10:58, 16 August 2013 (EDT)

Ninja characters reuse the same sprites all the time. Try using a high kick or round house and notice that all ninjas use the same sprite for the move. Same with this sprite. And it looks like fire or snow is floating around the character. Or are you saying Reptile almost starts on fire before he turns invisible?--MathUser 11:37, 16 August 2013 (EDT)
Also, to turn invisible it's obvious Reptile has to throw a smoke bomb on the ground, so my description isn't wrong either.--MathUser 11:42, 16 August 2013 (EDT)
