Gorilla Corp

Hey, just so you know, the full name of the company I added is Gorilla Systems Corporation. Look at the logos in MobyGames, the first and third logos have the full company name on it. Not to mention there's two other companies that go by Gorilla Systems (a computer software developer and a toy manufacturer) and omitting the last word may cause confusion. So uh, yeah. I think it would be best to revert the changes and add Corporation back. // Foxhack 01:58, 10 January 2016 (EST)

Metro 2033?

I'm sorry for doing things improperly, the article's next draft will be way better!. --RodvtPetrick97 (talk) 07:02, 13 January 2016 (EST)

Sorry for jumping the gun there. We have a lot of people that show up and create empty placeholder articles hoping that other users will notice and add actual content. In the future, please use the "Summary" field below the article to explain that you'll be adding content shortly so this doesn't happen again. --BMF54123 (talk) 15:25, 13 January 2016 (EST)

Super Mario 64 DD

The changes you made to the title and description make the page more confusing:

Super Mario 64 would've taken Super Mario 64 and made the purchase of the expensive disk drive really worth it.

I don't want to revert a mod edit so I'll just ask why you felt the need to change it. -DangItBobby (talk) 10:39, 16 January 2016 (EST)

It's fixed now. I think it was an error. --The Nikkster (talk) 20:16, 7 June 2016 (EDT)

Regarding Category:Games by platform

With the current organization system used for game platforms, they are scattered on a level below other classification systems, grouped with website page categories such as bugs and notes. While me editing a core part of the wiki was stepping out of line, I would recommend implementing this system in the future. Sushimon2001 (talk) 16:27, 25 January 2016 (EST)

WarioWare: Touched Revisional Differences

Why did you remove the revisional differences on WarioWare Touched? Are you working on that section? -Francofantino (talk) 15:51, 30 May 2016 (EDT)

I was, in fact, working on that section a while ago. All it is is a list of changed files which makes its presence on the page little more than a note. It was not made invisible due to an error. I would ask that you do not keep re-adding it to the page. -Einstein95 (talk) 23:09, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
OK, Will do. -Francofantino (talk) 21:50, 1 June 2016 (EDT)

Early Release

I was curious, if some sort of early build or something is released for a game, are we able to make articles on them just yet? --The Nikkster (talk) 20:12, 7 June 2016 (EDT)

Blazel

Why does my Blazel picture not have a deletion reason? Also my Animal Crossing prototype article is gone.=Dellfanthedolphin (talk) 15:23, 11 June 2016 (EDT)

The prototype page was deleted since a) That prototype article is meant for actual prototypes that were released in some shape, b) all the stuff you put in that article is already on the main page, and c) you took content from a wiki without attribution. As for the Blazel picture, it was deleted because it was a JPEG and it should have been a PNG screenshot of Blazel. We do allow JPEGs, but only under certain conditions. You should probably read the help pages more. Blazel itself was originally deleted due to the ambiguous nature of the character. While it is true she is among the special characters, we need to check the Japanese version to see for ourselves.--From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 16:24, 11 June 2016 (EDT)

Okay. Thanks for letting me know. =Dellfanthedolphin (talk) 07:57, 12 June 2016 (EDT)

Don't get your edit on Bugs:Pac-Man

My information is basically in sync with Don's, since it's based on it. Do you want people to copy over the whole article from there, or what is meant with it? - Ray Koopa (talk) 08:24, 12 September 2016 (EDT)

What I mean is that there is useful information present on Don's page that isn't in the Bugs page. I believe things like what is needed to fix the bug etc. is nice to have on a page. At the bare minimum, we should link Don's page as a source. -Einstein95 (talk) 08:27, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
Ah, I see, and totally agree. I wasn't done with the page yet. When I'm home, I add images explaining the bug more visually (Don's images are blurry and the grid overlays partly off - beyond the fact that I don't want to copy them, he wouldn't be happy about it). I also wanted to link his research and work on the fix, as I think that's not required to put on TCRF. I'll also link the Pac-Man dossier (or the copy on Gamasutra which is the only one still up) about the passing-through-ghosts glitch. - Ray Koopa (talk) 08:37, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
Ok cool. A better link would be this Internet Archive backup. -Einstein95 (talk) 08:38, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
Thanks, I'll put it into the article ASAP. By the way, it is never discussed as one, but to me, a possible oversight and thus a tiny "bug" is that the PRNG used for the blue ghost turns is reset at every level start, making them take the same turns when following the same patterns. Would you add it as a section? - Ray Koopa (talk) 08:46, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
Late reply, but I'm honestly not sure. Does this happen in later remakes or ports? If it doesn't, it'd be something to put in. -Einstein95 (talk) 18:08, 5 October 2016 (EDT)

Freddy Pharkas Messages

I just read over your page with these messages you don't know how to make visible. That message is written in the same style like (copyright followed by a fancy joke) those random messages which appear when you quit Larry Laffer 6 (developed at around the same time), which are then printed to the command prompt. I never played Freddy Pharkas, but since so many people working on LSL6 also worked on that game, and in case the game doesn't print such stuff when exiting it, maybe there's some unused code to print it when quitting the game. - Ray Koopa (talk) 08:52, 12 September 2016 (EDT)

Ah, that's interesting. Thanks for that, I'll try it in DOSBox and see what happens. -Einstein95 (talk) 08:53, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
Yup, they're printed to the command line when exiting the game. Thanks for the heads-up. -Einstein95 (talk) 08:59, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
Awesome! I guess ScummVM completely skips emulating the prompt (I always played on DOSBox). - Ray Koopa (talk) 09:00, 12 September 2016 (EDT)

Removal of File Descriptions? (Tales of Phantasia GBA OGGs)

Gotta be honest... I'm a little baffled by what you did there. Why did you remove the description of these three files, as well as the "Uploaded with UploadWizard" category? They weren't hurting anything.

~ Doc Lithius (Info|Chat|Edits) 11:45, 5 October 2016 (EDT)

We don't have an "Uploaded with UploadWizard" category so it was a red link, and all I did was replace it with the necessary template. I don't see how it hurts anybody when a file lacks a descriptive description. -Einstein95 (talk) 18:05, 5 October 2016 (EDT)
I've reinserted the descriptions. The "Uploaded with UploadWizard" category, however, never existed. So, the latter was done as part of an attempt to clean the wiki up a little bit, along with creating several categories for developers and publishers. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 18:09, 5 October 2016 (EDT)
Fair enough on the UploadWizard category. (Even though literally thousands of files are in said non-existent category... Or not. How did... that vanish? I could swear, at the very least, some sprites from Layla were in that semi-category...)
As for the file descriptions themselves, I just think it's handy to have a point-of-reference on the actual file page. I'm quirky like that. Dunno if there's a "rule" or some sort of widespread preference regarding that, but no one's ever said anything before...

Health and Safety screen

Not debating the removal or anything (I was kinda unsure about adding it, should have asked). But I'm curious, was adding that warning screen really common in localization of GBA games? It's the only GBA game I own that has that screen. (Though, that's not saying much, I don't own that many GBA games, haha.) L95 (talk) 13:39, 16 December 2016 (EST)

Yes, it seems that adding the health and safety screen was common around the release of the DS due to that built-in H&S screen, much like how Twilight Princess has a H&S screen that's similar to the Wii's built-in one. You can also see this screen on the FF4 GBA version differences page. -Einstein95 (talk) 13:49, 16 December 2016 (EST)
Neat, thanks. I must not own many GBA games released that late... Oh, also, I dunno if you were just getting around to it or what, but you didn't delete the two screens I made of the nintendo logo. (This one and this one) -L95 (talk) 15:48, 16 December 2016 (EST)
Done and done. :) -Einstein95 (talk) 15:54, 16 December 2016 (EST)
