On the May 23, 2017 update, props references in spcombinerules.txt were updated. The update additionally includes Felix Riley's audio clips, suggesting that Dust II was originally planned to be featured in the Hydra Campaign.
  • On 9 October, the Official CSGO twitter account and CSGO Instagram announced the upcoming depot beta testing for the reworked map. The announcement was accompanied by a screenshot of the new map, which Jess Cliffe confirmed was taken near T spawn to way to tunnels. Dust II made it to the beta depot a day later where it underwent bug fixes.
