2005
- September 16 - The game is mentioned for the first time under the tentative name of "BB" in Sony Computer Entertainment Japan's planned Software lineup for Playstaion 3 PDF document.
2008
- January 24 - The game is revealed on Famitsu Magazine.
- May 9 to May 11 - The game went through a location test at Akihabara Hay, Tokyo, Japan.
- June 13 to June 16 - The game went through a location test at Castle EX arcade in Kyobashi, Osaka, Japan.
- November 19 - BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is released in Japan (Arcade).
- November 20 - BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is released in United States (Arcade).
AOU 2008 Trailer
- The "FINISH" graphics are different.
- The Barrier bar is yellow, instead of blue and it displays numbers alongside it.
- The track "Under Heaven Destruction" sounds noticeably different, but the main melody is the same.
Famitsu Trailer
- As with the case of "Under Heaven Destruction", "Lust SIN"'s main melody is exactly the same, but instruments sound quite different (aside from the piano solo at the beginning).
