Hi.

Things I'm currently working on

The World is Not Enough (N64)

I found some odd things using the GameShark code present on the wiki page (80102EDF 00??).

  • 04, 07, 09, 13, 15-18, 20, 27: These appear to be the multiplayer maps.
  • 03: Game freezes on glitchy looking stairs.
  • 06: Bond spawns outside of a castle and can walk on the water. Likely part of a cutscene. Terrain can't be collided with.
  • 08: Crate yard. Already explained on the wiki page.
  • 11: Map for an unused mission dubbed "Subterranea". Also already on the wiki page.
  • 23: Bond finds himself stuck in the sky for this "level". But on top of that, he's also moving very, very, very slowly backwards with no ability to move in any other direction or be influenced at all by the player. I don't get it.
  • 24: Alright, this level is amazing. It's so amazing, that when you start the mission, it just loops back to the title screen every time...best level.

Beetle Adventure Racing

Levels

Found some interesting stuff using a level selection code here as well (80025D37 00??).

(Some of these A lot of these areas were found out about/explained better via a Beetle Adventure Racing wiki that I'm amazed exists. And based on one page in particular, there's a lot of unused areas and, in fact, there's apparently even more oddities to explore in general...this could take a little bit.)

  • 00 (NONE):
  • 01-04: Already on the wiki page. 03 has an unused object on it though, apparently. Don't know if that will be worth noting or not.
  • 10 (DERBY): A test area filled with rainbow-colored things, namely a row of slopes for slope testing, a loop for loop testing, and a row of bars with numbers on the side for...speed testing? Outside of this small area, you'll only find stone walls, glitching graphics, and invisible barriers.
  • 11-19: All multiplayer areas...but can be accessed in single player with the GS code.
  • 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F(?), and 20 (INTRO1-6): All of these variables will put you into various "unfinished" versions of the main levels. These are actually the courses used in the intro sequence, hence their internal names (INTRO1, INTRO2, etc.). Interestingly, these levels still appear to have AI, the normal three lap setup, and a respawn that puts you in what would be the "correct" part of the track that you fell off of. However, as these areas are literally incomplete (as they needed nothing more than what's present in the intro), you will simply fall into the void below and, eventually, be disqualified due to going too slow.
  • 21 (FINISH): A small, completely black area. This area is the area reserved for finishing a championship, only completely empty.
  • 22-24: Three very similar areas in that they all spawn you over out-of-bounds water, making these areas unable to be explored. They're also similar in that they all essentially look like 03 texture wise.
  • 98:

Other variables on the "Mysterious track" page apparently only work in PJ64 1.6.

Playable Characters (or cars in this case)

Another fun code was found on the BAR wiki (81025E28 00??). This code let's you change your Beetle into any other Beetle in the game, including some weird ones. I'll investigate this later...you're free to too, of course.

1080° Snowboarding

Pre-release HUD

www.unseen64.net/2008/04/04/1080-snowboarding-n64-beta/

Based on the photos in this article, 1080, at the very least, had a slightly different HUD compared to the final product's. There's even a (short) pre-release trailer on the page!
