This route, which appears to be Route 30, has been changed slightly in layout. Namely, it lacks the ledge, which prevents progress earlier on, suggesting that the roadblock Youngster battle was only added later in development. The wider main path might also suggest that the second branch of the path leading to Mr. Pokémon's house didn't originally exist. The two female NPCs were also replaced by a Youngster and a female Cooltrainer NPC.
