kfes Challenge Mode Caves

These are early versions of existing Challenge Mode levels. These were used for the 2003 E3 demo.

The Kfes version of this floor doesn't have any water hazards. The final version adds a Caustic Dweevil to fix that, plus some more fire hazards in the form of Fiery Dweevils.

The Kfes cave is much meaner with the inclusion of a Wollywog, Hermit Crawmad, and falling rocks. Interestingly, it also has two candypop buds to switch between Red and Blue.

The many different Dwarf Bulborbs in the Kfes version were all changed to Dwarf Red Bulborbs, and the oddly placed plants were removed, along with the large marbles.

Another instance of the Kfes version being more difficult. The Bulbears were replaced with easier Orange Bulborbs, and the Antenna Beetle was removed entirely. More odd plants appear.

The purpose of this cave was completely changed. There are no gas traps in the Kfes version, and all of the harmful enemies were replaced with (mostly) harmless Beetles.

Again, the dangerous enemies were changed to harmless ones, and gas traps were added. The treasure set is utterly different between versions.
