This is a sub-page of The Simpsons: Hit & Run.
The following cars are never seen in-game and cannot be purchased or driven. Aside from one fully-cut vehicle, all of these cars have functional CON files that make them drivable. They can appear as NPC racers in the bonus racing mini-games, and can be driven using the Unlock All Cars cheat after 100% completion.
Internal Name | Image | Description |
---|---|---|
redbrick | A little LEGO-like brick car. The "engine" animates, with the parts moving up and down. Its script file calls it "Red Brick V2.0" and also says "( now with more power! )". V1.0 of the Brick Car was likely the similar vehicle featured in The Simpsons: Road Rage, with a much simpler design compared to this one. A cheat code can be used in the options screen to replace all bonus cars in levels with the Brick Car (such as the Monorail in Level 2):
It can also be obtained with the "All Cars" cheat. In an interview with YouTube user Cleanprincegaming, the game's lead programmer, Cary Brisebois stated the vehicle was used to test the game. | |
tt (cuda in tt.con) | A first-generation Audi TT. The game will crash if you try to enter it, so you'll need to destroy the car and then drive the wreck over a wrench pickup to properly drive it. It could have been used for testing, but this would be odd given that it was confirmed that the Redbrick vehicle was a test vehicle. It could also have been cut due to legal obligations. Oddly, despite all of the model assets being present, the CON file for the Audi TT, tt.con does not exist in the prototype of the game. | |
CellB | A beige-colored version of the Cell Phone Users' Car, with a different ringtone and horn noise. These different colored variants were meant for the Cell-Outs mission in Level 2, but the first one (CellA) is used four times, presumably due to memory limitations on consoles. | |
CellC | Lavender Cell Phone Users' Car. | |
CellD | Cyan Cell Phone Users' Car. | |
CCube | A slightly-vandalized cyan and grey van with boxes in the rear cargo. The document "THE VEHICLES OF HIT" found in one of the PR Asset Discs lists the vehicle under the "AI CONTROLLED VEHICLES" section, proving that it was in fact going to be used somewhere in the game. Both the cBone and Duff Truck are re-textured versions of the car. Oddly enough, though, it is slightly taller than the other two trucks, and the yellow headlights are slightly different. | |
Icecream | An ice cream truck for Phineas Q. Butterfat's parlor (complete with an ice cream cone mascot resembling Marge), a reference to the season 3 episode "Homer Alone." It plays a jingle while driving around. The vehicle is not mentioned in the traffic data for any level, but according to the Master Content List.xls in the developmental leak, it was supposed to be found in Level 1 as a "special vehicle spawn". | |
SedanA | A sedan. It would have appeared in place of the School Bus in Level 1's traffic, as its internal name is listed right next to the string for the School Bus. The Taxi in Level 2 is a retexture of this vehicle, using a wider model alongside different headlights and a longer grille. According to Master Content List.xls, it was supposed to spawn in Level 1, Level 2, and Level 5. | |
WagonA | A station wagon variant of Sedan A. While not documented anywhere, early trailers and previews show that the car was originally intended to appear in place of the Glass Truck in Level 1. The Hallo Hearse in Level 7 is a retexture of this vehicle, using a bigger model with a different front. |
Additionally, there is a Test.con, a testing handling file for a "ferra".
