The Pirates of Dark Water is a side-scrolling hack-'n'-slash platformer with a few adventure elements, all based on the cartoon by the same name.
Level 1 Password
Strangely, dying in Level 1 brings up the password TGIFSTJ, even though there's really no point in such a password existing. The use of "TGIF" may suggest it being a message.
Level Select
At the Iguana logo screen press Up, Down, Right, A, Up, Down, Left, B, Up, Down, Up, Down, C, B, A. The background will turn blue to denote a correct entry. Interestingly, entering the code again on this screen will change the background back to white and deactivate the code.
Once the code is enabled, press A + B + C + Start at the title screen. You can also go to this screen at any time in-game through the same button combination.
