So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Very Loud Samples

No, this is not some weird emulation bug, The Astyanax's drums really are that loud.

Warning: Turn down your volume!
Isolated Samples (astyan7 - 10) In-Game Music (real hardware)

For some reason, The Astyanax's ADPCM audio has its samples formatted with a very high volume. These can be heard in the game's music as a distorted drumline, as these hissy, almost industrial-sounding crashes were intended to be percussive samples. This might have been caused by improper digitization, as one sample in astyan10 (heard in 0:29) is properly formatted with the right volume.
