In what's likely the most appalling...thing on the Game Boy, Terrifying 9.11 uses actual video footage of the September 11, 2001 attacks on its title screen set to an equally ill-fitting ditty. On top of all this, the game even greets you with a brief standoff between George W. Bush and Bin Laden.

Extremely tasteless shock value aside, the game itself is a (surprisingly high-quality) port of Metal Slug. Terrifying 9.11 was known to be quite rare among bootleg circles, especially since the game was undumped until 2015 and 2017 (in Chinese and English respectively).

Unused Graphics

A(n also surprisingly high-quality) recreation of the original Metal Slug title screen, with added copyright info. This would suggest that the game was meant to be straightforwardly released as Metal Slug at some point, prior to its utterly tasteless rebrand.
