In the Japanese version, after finishing the third stage, a cutscene showing one of the protagonist's comrades failing to return to the ship and burning in the atmosphere upon reentry to the planet will play. The whole cutscene was removed from the US version despite the fact that the same thing can happen to the player if they are not careful.
