add in the unused text

Include the potentially to be DLC or left unused text related to Blast Corps and Jet Force Gemini spirits, there could be more to find.

Announcer Regional Differences

I noticed that in the Japanese and Korean (and presumably both Simplified and Traditional Chinese) versions, the announcer voice clip saying "Wins!" is replaced with "Win!" (which is used in the English version, but only used after Ice Climbers win a game). So, instead of saying "Mario wins!", the announcer would say "Mario win!"

Others things noticed: As with Melee and Brawl, Ice Climbers are called "Ice Climber" in the Japanese version. They are called "Eol-eum tagi" in the Korean version.

Villager is called "Ma-eul jumin" in Korean.

Simon and Richter's names are pronounced differently in the Japanese version. They are pronounced "Sheemoan" and "Reehtah". I think it's interesting that they didn't do this with Lucas, as his Japanese name is "Ryuka".

King K. Rool is pronounced "King Krool" (as in "cruel") in Asian languages.

Isabelle is called "Shizue" in Japanese and "Yeoul" in Korean.

Not to forget many of the language differences the 4th installment had. However, I noticed that they didn't replace "Mii Brawler" and "Mii Swordfighter" with "Mii Fighter" and "Mii Swordsman" in the Japanese version of Ultimate.

"Defeat" is replaced with "Lose" in (at least) the Japanese version.

--GarfLarf (talk) 14:33, 10 December 2018 (EST)

Simon and Richter's names were always like that and were name changed in English. I know "Seemone" is a dated and I think French name (fitting for a man born in 1669). Supposedly リュカ is officially supposed to be "Lucas", though it's a weird romanization. --Agiletek (talk) 17:57, 10 December 2018 (EST)

Master Hand (Spoilers)

I noticed that unlike the other bosses, Master Hand has a "chara-4-" graphic (all playable characters have this graphic for their diamond during a battle). Master Hand has one presumably for (spoiler alert) the battle in World of Light in which you play as him. However, when I played through World of Light and did this battle, Master Hand's player diamond was empty. Was this a glitch or is Master Hand's in-batte graphic unused? Also, since he is playable for this one part of the game, is there any interesting info there? Where is his data stored for that? Can he be loaded elsewhere? --ConnorRentz (talk) 00:58, 22 December 2018 (EST)

Updateː I have since learned this was a glitch. Not sure how to recreate it. --ConnorRentz (talk) 14:09, 5 January 2019 (EST)

Unused Spirit Battles found on the Smash Bros Wiki

There are a lot of unused Spirit Battles I found on its wiki page, is it OK if I add it to this Page? Link right here: https://www.ssbwiki.com/Unused_content_(SSBU)/Spirit_Battles. --Aaron Beasley 14:00, 18 January 2019 (EST)

Yeah, I'd say just wait until there's no more Spirit Events. Sounds like a long time until that actually happens (since they'll likely keep adding events to the game even after the DLC pack is out), but I'm sure that some of the battles in this article will be used in an event in the future. --Kaidigem (talk) 12:34, 20 January 2019 (EST)
I think that it will be pretty safe to add these, considering that only 50ish of the 214 fights uses something other than Mario, they all have random music, and other oddities like some fights having 99 stocks for the battle. At the very least, the ones named "Default" and "Dummy1-20" should be added. And if something is released then they can be removed and/or noted on how they are changed (what music is now used for the match for example). TrainerX493 (talk) 14:44, 20 January 2019 (EST)

Unused Piranha plant 3rd jump

Twitter user Meshima_ found out that the character was meant to have 3 jumps, but ended up having only two, making this animation unused : https://twitter.com/Meshima_/status/1091407461460758528

Is it worth adding? --Achoral 12:47, 2nd February 2019 (GMT+1)

Yes, I think it's worth adding. --Pik (talk) 09:12, 24 March 2019 (EDT)

Navy fairy is unused?

I thought it was used for Young Link's taunt since he's basically unchanged Smash 4 Link. I do get it that Link doesn't need it, since again, BotW Link, but are you sure it's a part of the Link's file even though it was reuse? -- Trimint123 8:54, February 5th 2019 (WIB)

Young Link's fairy uses a different model, most clearly visible in the wings, which are three-dimensional and have scales on them.
Crashandcortex (talk) 09:17, 5 February 2019 (EST)
Even if Young Link's Navi used the same model, it would still be worth documenting on the page, because this one's specifically in BOTW Link's files. --Burb (talk) 10:15, 5 February 2019 (EST)

Doomguy and Steve?

Ever since there are leaks of a Dragon Quest character and Ryu Hayabusa (Koei Tecmo is listed in the credits). There are also leaks of Steve from Minecraft and Doomguy from Doom will be in game. Is he going to be in Smash since K Rool, Dark Samus, Shantae, and Shovel Knight were the only Western characters in the game? Jiterdomer (talk) 11:56, 8 February 2019 (EST)

No and no. -Ehm (talk) 12:44, 8 February 2019 (EST)
Lol, to counteract the first no in a post-Steve in SSBU world. -Nunof Yerbizness (talk) 04:59, 4 October 2022 (UTC)

WaitItem Animation Oversights

It appears that many characters' WaitItem animations were never correctly updated from their animations from Smash Wii U/Brawl as of 2.0.0, as demonstrated in this video posted on Twitter. In the video, it shows that when Wolf holds an item, he reverts back to his idle animation from Brawl. Another post suggest that Lucas's WaitItem animation is Ness' idle animation from Smash Wii U. It also seems that Echo Fighters' WaitItem animations are that of the fighters they are based on, with Dark Samus being the only exception. Is this worth documenting? --ConnorRentz (talk) 00:05, 9 February 2019 (EST)

The mysterious 3.0 modes?

From the Nintendo direct last night, it seems like that we may potentiality get some new modes for Ultimate. Do we have any ideas on what that entails for the game? We should probably keep an eye out for any unused stuff once the time comes. --GregoryTheGamer (talk) 12:12, 14 February 2019 (EST)

Which files caused Duck Hunt and Mii Swordfighter to have Century Smash save corruption after 2.0.0?

I need someone to get a pre-2.0.0 version and a post-2.0.0 version of data.arc file, extract both of them, and then find the files that relate to Century Smash and then check both versions of them to see if it has the fighter stuff in it, we could find something interesting inside the post-2.0.0 version of this file. --Andreepika11233 (talk) 10:08, 21 March 2019 (EDT)

Stage Builder?

Should we look into the files to see if there is any unused content relating to the stage builder? I'm wondering if there is anything that was scrapped from the mode that made it into the files. --GregoryTheGamer (talk) 10:07, 26 April 2019 (EDT)

There are nine backgrounds for it that were cut, and the only things remaining are respective "render_param.prc" files: fzero_bigblue (Big Blue), kirby_fountain (Fountain of Dreams), mario_castledx (Princess Peach's Castle), mario_past64 (Mushroom Kingdom), nintendogs (Living Room), poke_stadium2 (Pokémon Stadium 2), poke_tengam (Spear Pillar), spla_parking (Moray Towers) and zelda_temple (Temple). --RandomTBush (talk) 17:03, 26 April 2019 (EDT)

Early character assets

I noticed that the trailers for the characters will sometimes show early gameplay or UI elements, such as Pac Man's trampoline having a hurtbox, a different freezing animation for the Metroid assist trophy, and an early UI for Hero's Command Selection that features a white border. There may be more of these as well. Dasragnerok (talk) 15:33, 19 December 2019 (EST)

Steve's Cooked Chicken

I was looking at Steve's model and noticed that he has a cooked chicken item in there, to my knowledge that never shows up in game, should we document it here? --GregoryTheGamer (talk) 18:07, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

Character Censorship

For oddity's like this, sometimes we think of why it happens. First, if you look under Zelda's skirt, it is NOT censored. It was censored in the previous installment. A few characters even got censored (Like Peach or Isabelle), but why is Zelda's skirt not censored with a black void? Another reason about censorship in textures is Pikachu's. In "skin_pikachu_001_col", there are fully detailed parts of what look's like a penis and butthole. It was unmapped, possibly to avoid the "M" rating in the ESRB. Another reason why it is unmapped is because Pikachu does not have a boner in some way in any Pokemon media. More censorship get's away when Pyra's spirit remains uncensored. At least Mythra is censored (Other spirits got censored too), but why not Pyra? --Msemertes (talk) 12:43, 30 October 2021 (EST)

Well, at least Pyra's fighter model is censored unlike her spirits. As for Mythra, it's not just her spirits that are censored, but also her fighter model like with Pyra. SafariKid2 (talk) 00:06, 2 October 2022 (UTC)

Kazuya's Rapid Jab IS used

I'm confident that the "Kazuya's Unused Rapid Jab" section is incorrect, so I'm going to remove it. The source (here) for this is a screenshot from the Ultimate Data Viewer. You can view Kazuya's page on the Data Viewer here. What the community calls "jab" (no input on control stick + A) is internally referred to as "Attack1X" where X is the number of hits. Kazuya has a jab combo - it is his "10 hit combo", so he has Attack11 through Attack110. Compare the damage percents of each Attack1X hitbox in the Data Viewer to the percents listed for each hit of jab on Kazuya's UFD page - they're the same. These move scripts are definitely used.

Also, I can't believe I did this, but I personally verified that the above comment was actually trolling. Every part of Pikachu's texture is mapped, the above commenter is completely making things up and trolling. Partone (talk) 04:23, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Banjo & Kazooie's Glide Data?

There's speculation that Banjo & Kazooie may have been based off Ridley, who has leftover data for gliding since he was based off Charizard. If B-K really was based off Ridley, they might have leftover glide data as well. Has anybody dug into their moveset data to check if this is the case? Removed music or faulty memory?

I think I'm doubting myself hard, but yet; My brain seems to remember there being a Super Metroid track in SSBU that possibly used to exist the game. When I decided to start passing the time by listening to Ultimate's full OST a few days ago, I was a bit taken off by this track's abscence. I swear I have memories of listening to this track being used for a few Spirit battles. Was this formerly in SSBU and then removed in one of the updates, or am I going crazy?

--Nunof Yerbizness (talk) 11:44, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

Nope, this track never existed in the files, nor has it been in a previous smash game. You're likely having a faulty memory here. Although I am a bit curious, are there any spirit battles you seemed to have remembered hearing this alleged track in? If you can specific any spirit battles in particular you might be able to figure out which track you were actually trying to recall here. But yeah sorry to disappoint, this specific track was never included in smash. --GregoryTheGamer (talk) 03:01, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
