Potential text string files?
Within Ring of Heroes' table folder, there's a multitude of .binary files (not .bin, .binary), all presumably containing game info. Notably, several files in particular are labelled with "String" at the end of their filenames and have variants for each of the languages the game is available in, leading me to believe that these may contain the text strings used for the game. However, they seem to be encrypted, and the files themselves being labelled as binary files has left me uncertain if they do contain them or if it's just regular data of some kind. I'm admittedly very new to this and not exactly code-savvy, so I can't say for certain. That being said, based on file names, here's what I'm guessing the string files have:
- BattleString - text used for the game's various PvP/PvE modes
- CharacterInfoString - text used for Skylander and portal master biographies
- DialogString - text used for the game's cutscenes
- ErrorString - text used for the game's error notices
- EventString - text used for the game's events
- HelpString - text used for the game's help section
- ItemString - text used for the game's item descriptions
- MailString - text used for the game's inbox
- MissionString - text used for the game's missions
- SkillString - text used for character skills
- StageString - text used for stage information
- StatOptionString - this one I'm honestly not sure of, but going by the name it obviously has something to do with stats. Maybe it has to do with character stat menus?
- StoreDPString - text used for the game's in-app purchase store
- String - probably placeholder text, but the non-specific name doesn't give me any ideas
- TrainingString - not really sure what this one would be for either, I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
- TutorialString - text used for the game's tutorials --R0s3M4r10n33 (talk) 11:05, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
