Developer?
Anyone has any definitive proof the NES version was developed by Kemco? The game definitely 'feels' like a Japanese-made game, and a Kemco-made game too, but the game's own back of the box says the game was developed by ICOM Simulations (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/nes/563455-shadowgate-1987/images/129041). Anyone has anything that says otherwise? ReyVGM (talk) 10:01, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
- ICOM developed the original computer version. This GamaSutra blog post by the current rights-holders talks about working with Kemco to adapt the game to the NES, and names a programmer and musician credited on several Kemco games as having worked on the music. Kemco also ported a number of other western computer games of the era, such as Hostages (aka Rescue: The Embassy Mission), North vs. South and Spy vs. Spy, so it makes sense that they handled the NES-specific work while ICOM oversaw the project. --TheKins (talk) 02:36, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
