Thanks for this. So, what does "Chika Dou debug" mean? The Artemis translation calls it "Standard Debug". Aside from that they look close to how they're named in the article, mostly just differences in terminology (Money/Chips). Though I don't know what the deal with "BG Font Status" is, that option shows you the tiles in vram. Artemis translated it similarly ("Change BG Font"). --Drenn 18:57, 27 January 2013 (EST)

近 means "near", and ドウ is written in katakana, so it has no independent meaning. "Chikadou" or "kindou" isn't a word in itself. It doesn't mean "standard", that must just be what Artemis is calling the menu. It may be a name. Usually I look up staff listings to see if there's anyone with a name that would contain those characters, but I couldn't find the credits for this game. フォント is definitely "font", maybe the word can have additional connotations in Japanese. --GlitterBerri 19:31, 27 January 2013 (EST)
I have a file with all the game's text, but - again - it's Artemis's translation. I really should figure out how to extract Japanese text. The closest name I found was "Kei Kondou", he's one of the programmers. But the characters don't seem to match up.--Drenn 20:25, 27 January 2013 (EST)
近ドウ/"chikadou" = 近道, which means "Shortcut". --Danke (talk) 22:09, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
