Removed Realms and Xbox Live login functionality in 1.9 update?

I was browsing through the RomFS of the 1.9 update for this game, and I found several files relating to the Minecraft Realms service, and the login feature for Xbox Live (Microsoft account). They probably exist because the New3DS edition was based off the Pocket edition. Should this be documented on the main page? (or possibly a 1.9 update sub-page?)
