Update files Datamine?
Has anyone dumped and extracted the files of the update content, is there any more unused content found within the update's files? (possible future DLC content and etc.) --Andreepika11233 (talk) 16:19, 20 July 2018 (EDT)
Early Music in Wave 2
I noticed that the prefetch track for Merry Mountain in the 2.1.0 files doesn't match the one in the trailer so I've created a comparison chart on my user page for when Wave 3 releases. I've already uploaded the trailer version of the track (which most likely will be the same as in-game). Obviously the other tracks won't be available until Holiday 2022! but I have linked them in preparation. --Kingoffire6873 U (talk) 19:58, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
About the unused music intros
There is a way to make alternate music tracks play by when selecting a course: By holding down R, ZL, ZR, or L + R when choosing a course on the menu, it will automatically select the second, third, fourth, or fifth variants of a music track, respectively, therefore making it possible to hear the complete songs in the music player. However, the final lap variants’ intros still go unused, so you can keep the section and add the final lap intros instead. BlazingD (talk) 16:57, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
- Regarding this and the revert of my attempt to remove the section, while I agree that it's notable from the perspective of them not being heard during actual races, I don't see much value in cataloging them here when there's a fully legitimate way to hear them within the game. Even the final lap versions aren't particularly noteworthy for the most part, seeing as the songs themselves are used while their intros don't differ from the regular versions in any notable way, the one exception I can think of being the final lap version of Madrid's museum variant, which as far as I'm aware cannot normally be heard in the game by any means.
