Red Canyon oddity

On DidYouKnowGaming, there's a disturbing bit of trivia about Red Canyon that isn't appropriate for younger audiences- in one of the stages, there is a block formation that resembles a nude woman. Is that going in the article? WhoIAm 22:51, 15 November 2012 (EST)

It's stage 5-2. There are even two bouncing enemies, and one spiky enemy, on the... "assets". A similar adult-themed easter egg is present in stage 4-1 in Yoshi's Island has a platform with an uncanny similarity to... a dark-skinned topless woman. Always wondered how those slipped by NoA draconian censorship. I think these definitely warrants an inclusion, as oddities. Montas1992 23:15, 15 November 2012 (EST)

Bonus Round

In the US version, the female version of Gooey also shows up depending on how well you do in the Bonus Round trial (available from a completed save file): she definitely shows up in an "all-cast" picture if you get a perfect score, and I think she appears alone if you do slightly better than "bad".

If Chao still appears in the Japanese version, perhaps there should be screenshots for the sake of completeness..? JorphoXL 22:44, 4 December 2012 (EST)

I tried doing "slightly better than bad" and I got Kine instead. It seems to go, in order from worst to best: Bad/Gooey (less than 70 stars), Good/Kine (around 70-75 stars), Great/Rick (around 75-80 stars), Miracle/Coo (around 80-84 stars), and Excellent/Everyone (all 84 stars). I don't think there's a ranking where you get Chao. If there is, let me know the specific number of stars and I'll get a screenshot of it. --Martin Strada (talk) 10:38, 5 February 2018 (EST)

Score in oddities

I wonder about something: In the screenshot with the walls in the oddities section, the score is maxed out to 9,999,990 and the lives are at 99. Why is this so? Is this a side effect of hacking/debugging? It's odd. --Sultanofswag89 (talk) 17:54, 6 July 2018 (EST)

  • This is not a side effect of hacking or debugging, but rather a natural status that you would eventually reach if you play this game long. In KDL2 the score is battery-backuped, and since you can replay any non-boss levels, the score slowly accumulates if you replay levels over and over. Once the score hits 9,999,990 points, you gain an extra life every time you kill an enemy, so you'll quickly reach 99 lives.Purplebridge001 (talk) 01:33, 7 July 2018 (EDT)
