About Codes
I found something slightly interesting while playing the US version on PCSX2. By using the codes on this page, I found that I was able to adjust the camera by moving the right analog stick. Additionally, I was able to make the car fly by holding D-Pad down. I couldn't get this to work on the European version of the game, and I don't have the Japanese version for testing. Could someone please investigate this to find if it's also in any other version aside from the US version? Additionally, something that I assume works on all versions is the Race Solo in the debug menu. Aside from the obvious of it allowing the player to start a race without any other racers (probably for screenshots for promotional material), it appears to allow the player to drive even during the countdown (confirmed on the US and EU versions), there also appears to be no limit on the number of laps. While testing, I was able to race for more than 3 laps on the track I tested (just Peach Raceway), so I thought it would be 10 laps similar to Endurance Run. Well, I tested that too, and it kept increasing. I couldn't get Cheat Engine to allow me to modify the lap counter or anything to test to see if there's an upper bound like 99 or 255. Could someone better at this than I am give these a try? Pokemonhacker1337 (talk) 09:32, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
Later edit
I figured that I should post my source for these, as I do realize it could look like I was trying to spread a hoax. I lost access to my previous PCSX2 installation. I used a combination of codes from what was posted on here, as well as this blog and here. Could this please be looked into to see what specific code caused it? I'm not good with PCSX2's pnach files. I also don't know much about trying it in different region versions. Pokemonhacker1337 (talk) 10:42, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
