Blue Journal
Hello,
I just deleted the following section from the main page. The journal is not blue, it is yellow, I have checked four different versions: PSX NTSC-J, NTSC-U v1.0 and v1.1, and Windows Sourcenext version. The yellow journal is present in every version, I could post screenshots of every version if required but one can check very quickly the area by starting a new game and using gameshark codes to get all items and use the elevator to go in the room. It looks like these screenshots were taken in ePSXe so I'm thinking it may be a glitch with the emulator (both the fact that it's missing in some versions and that it's blue). Let me know if you have more information about this --MetHy (talk) 15:06, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hello. The journal I'm referring to is blue in the room ST30E which is an earlier version of the room "Hall B1". This early version of the room is actually used once in the cutscene when Gail reaches Kirk. You normally don't see the beta diary unless you use a camera hack or load the room without triggering the cutscene. Also, good job on continuing to work on the Dino Crisis pages. I'm currently searching for as many beta things as possible and I've around +250 beta things listed in my personal .txt file found in all the trailers, pre-release screenshots (looots of differences over the several magazines I found, GameSpot screenshots, assets screens, ecc..), hidden textures (100 of them!), ecc.. ecc.. I've considered expanding the page but if you wanna know more about more beta things about Dino Crisis we can talk in private over Discord or wherever is better than a talk page over here ;)

Hall B1
The blue journal is absent in the Japanese and NTSC-U (1.0) version of the game.

Unused Speech
I seem to recall hearing the speech marked as unused for the Control Room Hall and Experiment Simulation Room. I never fully played through the DC or PC versions of the game, so I can't verify whether the lines were present in those versions at the moment. --Grandta13 (talk) 11:44, 5 December 2016 (EST)
- I can confirm that (at least on PS version) these voice lines/speech are unused. I'm not sure about the PC/DC version tho. --SuperFrizzio (talk) 14:18, 5 December 2016 (EST)
- Just to be sure, what version are you playing? I played the NTSC-U version. I can't find the disc at the moment, so I can't verify which revision it was. --Grandta13 (talk) 23:43, 6 December 2016 (EST)
- I'm playing the NTSC-U version but I checked other versions aswell (NTSC-J, ITA) and the sound files are identical. There is one ultra-rare early/uncensored version of Dino Crisis with different speech I guess (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-GrIET8ij0) but is nowhere to be found. --SuperFrizzio (talk) 14:18, 5 December 2016 (EST)
- What I was thinking may have happened is that there may have been bad event triggers in v1.0 that were patched in v1.1. Although, I will acknowledge the fact that I may just be remembering incorrectly, I just wanted to cover all bases. I've been wanting to replay the game recently, so when I get around to it, I'll keep an ear out for those dialogue snippets. --Grandta13 (talk) 00:15, 8 December 2016 (EST)
- Yeah but I played the japanese version aswell (the earliest build) and no such speech were played in any form. So I heavily doubt they exists in the NTSC release. The interesting thing is that the first speech was planned to be played in the Control Room Hall, as the audio file name implies (st105=texture&sounds data for the Control Room Hall). I bet you wanted to replay the game after you saw the new discoveries :) -- SuperFrizzio (talk) 12:58, 8 December 2016 (EST)
