Cactus 2.0!
This article has just been started and needs the article basics added.
Help us out and add them.
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Many nonplayable characters can be found in the game's many modes, look into whether or not any evidence exists of them being intended to be playable at some point during development, said characters include:
    • Assassin
    • Berserker
    • Charade and its multiple variations
    • Colossus
    • Unknown Soul
    • Will O' the Wisp
    • Shadow Master
    • Keres
    • Night Terror
      • Action Replay (raw) codes for above if possible.
  • Talk about some of the variations of existing weapons in-game that remain unused; for example, elaborate on the "Thin" variations of Night Terror's Soul Edge (Complete) and Abyss' Irkalla.
  • Discuss the unused cinematics that can be found in-game, such as "modesel.pss".
  • This game is known by many members in the Soul series community for some of its bugs and glitches, if possible or appropriate, talk about some of those, especially the infamous Chronicles of the Sword bug that corrupts your save file.
  • Regional/revisional differences.

Soulcalibur III is the initially PlayStation 2 exclusive (later released in arcades as Soulcalibur III: Arcade Edition) fourth installment in the long-running Soul series. It is one of the more divisive entries in the franchise. Some consider it a fan favorite due to its fast-paced combat and bounds of content, while others consider it an unbalanced, buggy mess that is outdone by its predecessor.

Unused Fighting Styles

Inside the game's files are two fighting styles that aren't used by any of the game's characters, playable or nonplayable, which are prototype versions of fighting styles present in the final game.

Prototype Lizardman Moveset

An incomplete version of Lizardman's fighting style exists within the game. Many of the game's movement options, such as sidestepping into the background or foreground or stepping backward, are not assigned to the correct inputs. Many attacks from Lizardman's final moveset do not exist and the attacks he does have will often whiff, and only one animation exists for each of the two normal throw inputs when there is supposed to be one of each for every character.

Prototype Revenant/Wave Sword Moveset

Like Lizardman, there exists an early version of Revenant's fighting style in the game, however, unlike Lizardman, it is impossible to do anything in battle with this fighting style, and Revenant will remain in his idle stance, an opponent attacking the player using the fighting style will cause the game to crash. It is unclear why this fighting style still exists within the game, but it is very likely that it is simply a placeholder for the version of this fighting style that would be used in the final game.

Unused Voice Clips

Hmmm...
To do:
Replace videos with .ogg sound files.
Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Look into this video, and whether or not these sound clips are actually unused, sounds a bit like leftovers of Necrid from the previous game? Also look into this playlist, as many of its videos contain the quote "Includes Unused Lines," look into which of them actually do, and of course include all of the unused lines in this article.

Unused Create-A-Soul Class Quotes

Winning a match as a created character and holding down any button during the replay segment will give a special win quote specific to whichever class you assigned to the said character, however modifying the game in order to replace a character on the main roster with a created character and then viewing their profile, which in turn will allow you to listen to the created character's voice clips, shows that there are five sets of voice clips specific to classes that don't appear in the final game.
