This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

Serious Sam: Tormental is a 3D rogue-lite top-down shooter spin-off. It was in Early Access from April 2, 2019 until its release.

Unused Areas

Long Beach Island

Long Beach Island is a cut fourth level of the game, occurring after Mount Fury, which was opened if you play on Tourist difficulty. The level is a small empty island, around which one of the cut enemies floats. The level was cut due to the appearance of a new level called Fortress in the release version of the game.

Unused Graphics

There are many sprites of unused sprites and skins in the game files.

Rodriguez

Rodriguez is a character who first appeared in Serious Sam 3: BFE, and later in Serious Sam 4. In the game files, you can find his three unused character sprites for the dialog window.

Jeff

Skin texture for an unknown character named Jeff. Maybe it's just one of the unused skins for Serious Sam.

Dark Sam

The texture of the Dark Sam skin. It seems to be an old version of the Mental Mate skin.

Concept Art

Langolier

In the game files lies this sketch of the enemy. Such an enemy is not in the game and there is no information about it. Presumably, the enemy's name is Langolier, according to the name of the original image.

Unused Music

There is a lot of early music in the files. Most of them are tracks from prior Serious Sam games, but sometimes something more interesting comes across.

Early Main Menu

An early version of the track for the menu. Is a slightly reworked title theme of Serious Sam's Bogus Detour.

Unused Enemies

Defensive Sleep State Subroutine

A cut enemy that previously appeared on the Long Beach Island level. Since this level was removed, the enemy also had to be abandoned.
