So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

At 0x3E in 087-m1.m1 is this apparent version number and credit for the audio driver. A line break has been added for readability.

The Samurai Spirits: Zankuro Musouken title screen places a katana underneath "Samurai Spirits" (サムライスピリッツ), while the Samurai Shodown III title screen displays a crest surrounded by the kanji equivalent of "Samurai Spirits" (侍魂) and credits "SNK Corp. of America" instead of "SNK Corporation". The title screen for Fighters Swords also credits "SNK Corp. of America", removes the background image in the top half of the screen, and raises the fire to cover the entire bottom half of the screen to compensate.

Korean version

Fighters Swords, the Korean version, differs from the other releases of the game in the following ways:

  • The game uses the English script with no operator setting to change it to Spanish or Portuguese (unlike the European version).
  • All of the announcer's voice clips are removed except for stating the characters' names.
  • The "Violence" setting is removed entirely from the operator menu and locked to Level 1, where all of the blood is white and it is not possible to cut an opponent in half with one's finishing blow.
  • The character Gaira Kafuin has his name changed to Kim Ung Che.

Sprite Viewer

Using UniBIOS you can enable a sprite viewer and other debug options by setting specific debug DIPs with the in game menu. Coin/Select opens the viewer, P1 A/B cycles sprites, P1 C/D cycles characters, P2 A restarts animation, P2 B pauses animation.
