Red Earth is a unique fighting game with RPG elements and a password system. Its story is set in a world dominated by religious governments, and where military might is comprised of swords and magic. While each country yearns to expand its own influence and power, they have maintained an equal (if shaky) balance of power. It's also notable for being the first game released for the CPS-III arcade hardware.

The game didn't get a console port until 2022, when it was included as part of Capcom Fighting Collection.

Text Differences

In the Japanese version, it's stated at the beginning of the game that it takes place in the rather-futuristic year of 1999. In the European version, the game is set in the non-specific, way more ancient 13XX.

Revisional Differences

In Revision 961121, some bugs exist:

  • There is a bug where the game's difficulty setting would be applied to the battles in the play demo.
  • A bug where Mobi-chan would sometimes appear offscreen while inputting a password.
