Rayman Raving Rabbids (Windows)/Leftovers from ''Rayman 4''
This is a sub-page of Rayman Raving Rabbids (Windows).
As previously stated in the article, Rayman Raving Rabbids was once a ambitious action-adventure game. Due to various issues during development, the game was later repurposed into a minigame party game.
Many years after the game's release, several prerelease material and leftovers were rediscovered of the unfinished game until crescendoing into a revelation in 2018 that there weren't just leftovers. Outside of broken code and missing textures, it was found that the entire game gameplay-wise was mostly intact; they were just crudely altered to hide that they were once features.
To do: Lots of unused text from prototype, unused skins, animations, minigames, and models. Cleanup of text is needed |

Unused Gameplay Mechanics
Bunnies don't like bats is actually a variant of the platformer gameplay: the bats are just hardcoded to not let Rayman jump off of them.
There, Rayman can jump, helicopter, and ride on animals (including the pigs you're supposed to save). It's revealed that in Bunnies don't like bats Part 2, the Rabbids on the submarine aren't just for show and taking the pigs; they are full blown interactive enemies. Getting near them on the bat usually won't do anything (except get hit), but getting near them alone shows that they're programmed to interact with Rayman directly.
Unused Music
In the Sound_Common.bf file for RRR's X360 port, under the "Poubelle" (French for "trash"...) folder, there lies another folder: "Old_RM4_Project". In this folder is a directory containing various music and ambient sounds that would have been in Rayman 4. Some of these appear to be placeholders (either Rayman 2 music or copyrighted songs such as Kill Bill or Eye of the Tiger), but others are original tracks. Barring the copyrighted songs, here's the music.
Ambient
Below are songs that would be played in the background of levels.
Ambient_elevator1
Ambient_funky1
Ambient_funky2
Ambient_funky3
Ambient_happy1
Ambient_happy2
This is the Rayman 2 theme. When the sound files are copied over to the leaked prototype of Rayman 4, this plays in the "FPP_exteriur" level.
Ambient_jazzy1
This tune would have played when storming the Rabbids' secret underwater base. Again, when the sound files are copied over, this plays in that exact location in the prototype.
Ambient_sleepyroom
Ambient_stress1
Ambient_stress2
Ambient_waitingroom1
Character
Below are jingles.
Rayman_death1
As the title implies, this jingle would play when Rayman dies. It feels kinda out of place for a Rayman game, but then again, you would have ridden giant spiders in what this game would have been...
Ptizetre_incantation1
Rayman 2 placeholder.
Ptizetre_release1
Rayman 2 placeholder.
Fight
Below are fight themes.
Fight_hard1
This theme is used by the prototype when fighting a giant Rabbid robot from the trailer.
Fight_jazzy1
Fight_robot1
Fight_speed1
Fight_speed2
Scripted
Only one file lies here.
Jingle_discovery1
Placeholder theme from Rayman 2.
Unused Sounds
In the same directory are non-musical sound files. They are listed below.

Amb_FPP_plaine_nuit

Amb_FPP_robot_int_destroy
Amb_FPP_ville_jour
French for "Town, Day".
Amb_FPP_ville_nuit
French for "Town, Night".
Ambient/zTests
Below are more ambient sounds. Most are identical to the ones in FPP, but there is an interesting outlier: Sphincter Cell's ambient sound. Sphincter Cell was going to be a cheekily-named level in Rayman 4, taking place inside an intestinal track. Yes, really.
