This is a sub-page of Quake (PC).

So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Look for more unused content.
  • The Star was animations that need to get added here.

Please note that the Dimension of the Machine expansion will not be covered here but on the 2021 remaster's page instead.

Scourge of Armagon

Scourge of Armagon is the first official expansion, developed by Hipnotic Software (later changed name to Ritual Entertainment) and released on March 5, 1997.

Unused Map-Specific Content

  • HIP2M4 - two spikemines are missing on Hard difficulty. They are placed too close to the walls.
  • HIP2M5 - three spikemines don't teleport into the map.
  • HIPDM1 - a spikemine is reported to be present, but is missing. (The missing monster also registers as a monster during deathmatch.)

Missing Maps

There are precaches for two maps in world.qc, zoo and mark. However both maps are not in pak file for Scourge Of Armagon.

Dissolution of Eternity

Dissolution of Eternity is the second official expansion, developed by Rogue Entertainment and released on March 19, 1997.

Unused Map-Specific Content

  • R1M4 - a Shambler entity "t399" is spawned in all skill levels, but on Easy/Normal, the corresponding teleport isn't.
  • R1M6 - a Wraith will not enter the map.

Unused Model

An unused model for the Grappling Hook called "v_star". This model is used in the modification Threewave CTF and is presumably a leftover from when Zoid Kirsch was hired to create a Capture The Flag mode for Dissolution of Eternity which uses Threewave CTF source code.

Dimension of the Past

Dimension of the Past was developed by MachineGames and released on June 24, 2016 for the game's 20th anniversary. Pretty much the third official expansion and the fifth episode. Set between the main game and the expansions, its a pretty neat little romp.
