Like with the MAX2 Demo Disc vs Magazine Preview comparisons, this interests me (DD vs OPM demo for MAX US C/S)

So the creation date for the executable for this Demo Disc build of MAX U.S C/S is 2002-08-06. That is already up on the page, I'm just re-iterating it. In contrast, the OPM Issue 62 demo disc build for MAX U.S C/S is 2002-06-13 at 5:52 am.

If I didn't botch the math, this means that the OPM 62 version was made 54 days before the build the Demo Disc used. This would also mean that, since the retail version's executable has a creation date of 2002-09-15, the OPM 62 demo is approximately 94 days older ((almost?) 3 months older) than said retail version's executable.

Given E3 2002 was May 22-24 of 2002, I wonder how far in advance of E3 the executable build for MAX U.S used was, and wonder what differences would exist between that, and the OPM 62 build - even if the differences would be more in the scope of not asset differences, but executable, function, leftover debugging data, etc. *le sigh* here's hoping that one day the E3 builds of MAX and MAX2 are found. I'm gonna spend this long weekend analyzing the builds of MAX (OPM 62 DD, dedicated DD, retail) and seeing what differences if any can be found.

EDIT TO ADD: Forgot that DDRFreak had images from Konami's DDRMAX display at E3 2002. From a cursory glance, a couple of notable differences between E3 2002, and the demo builds that followed.

- Game Mode, Workout Mode, and Options are enabled on the main menu (vs just the Game Mode option being enabled in either the OPM 62 Demo Disc, or dedicated Demo Disc builds).

- Song list/playable song list is definitely a little bit longer compared to the OPM 62 and dedicated demo disc builds. A partial list from the screenshots on DDRFreak: AM-3P, Brilliant2U (Orchestral Groove), Era (Nostalmix), Exotic Ethnic, Midnight Blaze, PARANOIA EVOLUTION, ORION .78 (Civilization Mix), Share My Love, and MAX 300 (Extra Stage only, I assume).

- Speed modifier options include 0.5x
