This is a sub-page of Proto:Yume Nikki/Map and Event Differences.

Many of the new maps that were made after v0.04 were placed into the Sub Map folder. As a result, these maps are better organized and have proper names, unlike the Minor Maps.

Dense Woods B

v0.06

  • The frog does not provide an effect, making the Frog effect only obtainable from Forest World.
  • The manhole that would later lead to the White Desert is closed up.
  • The traffic cones around Shitai-san are taller.
  • The Isee NPCs were monocular, and the map they are on does not dim.

v0.08

The Isee NPCs are now binocular, and the map they are on dims as well.

v0.09

The manhole has been opened up, providing a path to the White Desert.

v0.10

  • The frog can now provide the Frog effect as an alternative to the one found in Forest World.
  • The traffic cones around Shitai-san were shortened.

White Desert

v0.07

  • The map is smaller, with its dimensions only being 80×80 tiles instead of 111×100.
  • Several graphical details are absent, along with there being fewer cacti.
  • Only the areas connected to White Desert A exist at this point.
  • The giant limbs on the path to the Severed Heads in the Sky event do not twitch when stabbed with the Knife effect.
  • It is grouped with the Minor Maps in this version, thus it lacks a proper name.

v0.08

  • The giant limbs now twitch when stabbed, as their respective pictures have been added.
  • The maps are now grouped under the Sub Maps folder, and have their final names.

v0.09

  • The map was resized to 111×100.
  • All of the other White Desert areas are present now.

v0.10

Some details were added, including some mounds and walls on the southern side of the map.

The Pink Sea

v0.07

  • Compared to later versions, it's very barren. Not much can be done here besides teleporting with the two balloons.
  • Its size is only 100×90 tiles, compared to 120×120 in later versions.
  • There's an inaccessible island in the northeast corner that was removed from later versions.
  • Poniko, and by extension Uboa, are completely missing.

The Docks

v0.04

The Docks is a loose map that is not in any folders in v0.04. Its internal name is the same as other versions.

  • It is very incomplete at this point, with only the leftmost section accessible. It would be gradually added on to as the versions progressed.
  • The only location accessible from this area thus far is The Sewers.

v0.06

A fair amount of work has been done on the Docks since v0.04.

  • More parts of the map are sectioned off in v0.06.
  • A pink gate is present that leads to Candle World. Aside from this, the destinations of each transportation method are identical to v0.10.

v0.07

  • A path leading to the Mizume NPC has been added, replacing the pink gate that was connected to Candle World in v0.06.

v0.08

The small area where a Toriningen can trap Madotsuki has been added.

v0.10

The Strober NPC was added alongside a pathway to the northern section, providing the Fatten effect. This replaced the mirror that was used in Hell to obtain the effect in prior versions.

Sky Garden

v0.09

  • The secluded area where a Toriningen would trap you is unused. v0.10 would add the necessary Toriningen in Hell.
  • The reflection of the light on the lamp posts is different.
