The GameCube Prototype 11.18 is a late build of Sonic Heroes, which was likely sent for review purposes. Only being about a month before the final's release, a lot of the differences seen in the previous builds have now been finalized, such as being unable to skip the whole startup sequences. With that said, it's not without minor changes.

Debug Modes

This is the last known build to feature a more functional debug mode, as it would be stripped down in the final.

Level Differences

Seaside Hill

Team Sonic

Although Team Sonic's layout at the beginning of Seaside Hill is nearly finalized, four Rings haven't been removed yet and only three dash panels are present. It's possible that this segment was changed rather late in the game's development.

Team Chaotix

Nice! It's a platform. Where'd it go?

In Team Chaotix's Seaside Hill, the platform (with a Block, Spring and Floating Item Box in the first cannon area), which is normally seen in Team Sonic/Dark's layout, hasn't been removed yet.

Hang Castle

  • Hang Castle's track switching is nearly finished, although it's still slightly buggy.
