To do: Describe and look for more differences |
A prototype of Power Punch II that was used for the Consumer Electronics show in 1991 under the name Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch. The prototype leaked on the internet sometime in 2009.
As the story goes, the game was originally going to feature Mike Tyson as the playable character. Not long after, Tyson would get into very hot water that resulted in Beam Software scrambling to remove all mentions of Tyson in the final game. Contrary to popular belief, this was never intended to be a sequel to Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! as Nintendo had no involvement. The only connection Beam Software's game has to Nintendo's game is the Mike Tyson license and similar gameplay.[1]
