The Desert demo build was released to Patrons on May 23rd, 2019, and with it came some mixed reception; This was the 2nd build to remove the wallrun, one of few odd design choices that were quickly reverted after a few revisions. This build primarily saw a decent revision of the Desert level, with a less blocky tile set, the debut of Kentucky Kenny and the firemouth transformation, and a UFO section.

All of the sound effects (and most of the music) were also temporarily removed for rebalancing purposes; The only audio present here are the tracks Mondays, Oregano Mirage, hmm look what u done did you found a secret :), Oregano UFO, and It's Pizza Time. The returning tracks have also been revised since previous builds. Bizarrely, the music also doesn't loop until the player enters another room where that music plays.

Unused Rooms

Anti-Wallrun blocks are present, which disallow Peppino the ability to run on them. There's also holes that Peppino would fall from to get into this sub area, as shown by the multiple entrances at the top. The room was removed when the Desert level's internal name switched from floor1 to desert.

floor1_room8b is similar to the one above, and was shown off in a Thing Of The Day video. This room was also removed when the internal name switched from floor1 to desert.

A 7th secret room intended for the Desert level remains inaccessible in all available versions of the Desert build. A hidden superjump passageway in floor1_room9 would've led to this room, however it is blocked off by a big collision block.

Unused Levels

Despite Pillar John blocking the path to any other levels after Desert, there exists level doors for Mansion, Factory, and Sewer, complete with their own TV graphics… However, no music plays for these levels as Mondays continues from the main hub area. They also crash easily; Mansion and Factory because of the Peasantos, and Sewer instantly. Freezer is also here, though it has no TV graphic, nor a door in said hub.

This is the first playable build where Mansion starts off in an outside area. The player can't be expected to go far though, as entering the room to the right has a Peasanto which will crash the game upon any interactions. Going left from there will take the player to the previous Mansion iteration from previous Patreon demo builds.

Appears mostly unchanged from the previous Patreon build, though like Mansion above, this crashes because of the Peasantos.

Freezer

Crashes as soon as Peppino enters the level.

OLDRealtitlescreen

Interestingly, the game's iconic SAGE-era title screen (then internally named "Realtitlescreen") exists here, albeit unused; In all revisions, the player is immediately dropped into the hub area when opened. The player also can't pause and exit to the title screen either, within the hub area.
