Dated 13th November 1997, this is a late Preview build with all modes accessible, predating the final Japanese version of the game by two weeks.

Opening Movie

This version features an early version of the opening movie.

General Differences

  • Arcade Mode still has the earlier background picture.
  • All GT Mode menus are still brighter like the earlier demo builds.
  • The amount of starter money is set at 100,000,000 instead of 1,000,000.

Debug Information

A counter at the bottom right of the screen counting the free available memory is always enabled in-game. This counter is also present in the Trial Version, but at the top right of the screen instead.

The pause menu displays full statistics about the current vehicle and its configuration.

The additional debug information seen in the demos and final builds of the game is also present in this build. Use the following GameShark code to enable it:

Additionally, there is also a Danger string at the bottom left corner of the screen. This is likely supposed to show up when you run out of available memory in the game.
