A demo of Grabbed by the Ghoulies was bundled with Project Gotham Racing 2. The executable was compiled on August 26, 2003 and uses assets from August 18, 2003, a little over a month before the final build.

General Differences
- Ninja Imps are colored green instead of black.
- The scrapped weapon icons leftover in retail are present and actually used.

Icons
- Ninja Imps are also colored green for their icon.
- For challenges that require the player to not get hit by the Ghoulies, an impact flash icon is displayed instead of an image of Cooper with a black eye.

Level Differences
Embassy Ballroom (Chapter 2 Scene 4)
- The Mummy does not attempt to attack the player.
Lighthouse Living Quarters (Chapter 2 Scene 10)
- The player is given one minute to beat eight zombies before the Grim Reaper is spawned. This would later be increased to ten zombies and the player would be given forty-five seconds before the reaper is spawned in retail.
- The haunted television does not spawn more zombies.
Lower Corridors (Chapter 2 Scene 25)
- There are eleven haunted chairs in the room that are able to be awakened and attack the player. This got decreased to only four chairs in the final, making the level considerably easier.
Music Room (Chapter 2 Scene 34)
- The player is given 50 seconds before the door opens. This would later be changed in the final to only forty-five seconds.
- The ancient mummy does not spawn after the first challenge is completed.
- An extra 5 health soup can comes out of the piano when the hunchback spawns.

Bonus challenges 12-20 were not finished at the time the demo was made, so some of the award descriptions contain placeholder dialogue.

Crivens' description of challenges where Cooper can't get hit later got altered to add a reference to the new icon and to completely change the second half of the explanation.
