Proto:Glover (Nintendo 64)/September 3rd 1998
This is a sub-page of Proto:Glover (Nintendo 64).
This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.
This was documented on Forest of Illusion.
On February 6th 2021, Forest of Illusion released a prototype of Glover. The tweet announcing the release of the prototype was taken down because of a misunderstanding between Forest of Illusion and Piko Interactive. Despite the ROM's header identifying it as version 1.1, it's an earlier build of the final release. According to a YouTube video by Hard4Games, the prototype's cartridge is labeled in black sharpie as a September build and was obtained from a trade show back in the day. Ozidual, who works closely with Piko Interactive, confirmed the build date of the prototype is September 3rd 1998.

Menu Difference
September 1998 Build | Final |
---|---|
The menu's background uses the brighter version as with the rest of the builds excluding US rev 0.
Camera Skip Difference
In the final version, pressing C-Up while hitting switches can skip the cutscene. Attempting this skip in this build can mess with the camera.
