...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Xbox-ForzaMotorsport-071102 Title-1.png

On August 9th, 2020, user ACHEESEDANISH released an early build of Forza Motorsport on ObscureGamers. This build dates back to November 7th, 2002, more than two and a half years before its release. It contains only one track and one car. With the nature of Xbox prototypes requiring 128MB of RAM to function, this prototype will not boot on retail hardware. For it to run on Xbox 360 hardware, make sure you're using a 128mb hack which can be found here

Cars

Hmmm...
To do:
Try and make the body of the Ford Mustang viewable.

Three cars are mentioned in this build; a Chevrolet Corvette C5, a Ford Mustang, and a Porsche 966 GT. The Ford Mustang is in source code only, having body file present in media\cars\mustang\Body.x. The Porsche 966 GT is only present as sound effects, with mentions of it present in media\Sounds\TestCar1\966.ini. The sound effects listed play in this build.

Project Gotham Racing 2 Document

File: Xbox-ForzaMotorsport-PGR2_Prototype_Document-1.zip (3.63 KB) (info)

Present in media\Sounds\Testcar1 is a file titled PGR2 Prototype 1.doc, which is a document from Project Gotham Racing 2. The document's title is "PGR2 – Early prototype findings" and was written by "Nick 'Elvis' Wiswell" (who is credited as working on audio in that game). The file was created on July 25th 2002 at 16:16, and last modified on the same day at 16:42, well more than a year before that game's release.

The document itself is a basic todo, talking about the game's new exhaust system and engine tuner tool - which was apparently bugged.
