This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Notes: Need to finish this article by placing all unused models & used models & locations differences.

E3 1997 Showcase

Zv e3 1997 unused question mark.png
Zombieville actually was showcased in E3 1997, which was a few months before ZV's final release.

On the left side, ZV had a question mark graphic for the cursor that's never seen in the final version. When Matt gets zombified, the HUD changes Matt's face really...really slowly, but in this E3 showcase, his face is shown to be zombified really fast. It is unknown if this was sped up for the showcase, or it was unintentionally slowed down in the released product.

The E3 showcasing can be seen in this YouTube video above:

Unknown Private Detective

These images above are of a private detective named "Main Dave". The left and right images are from a Psygnosis Press Kit from 1996 and contain modified dates of 09/1995. The middle picture is from the back of a game manual that is found from large game boxes.

The existence of the middle image is perplexing. Inside that 1996 press kit, it contains renders of different models & locations of the game WIP, but while Matt Black is mentioned, his graphics are nowhere to be seen. It is possible that Main Dave was just a placeholder until Matt's graphics were finalized as his graphics are seen in 1996 issues of Computer Gaming. However, the physical copy of the game manual has Main Dave printed onto the back, as shown in this YouTube video. So why does Main Dave exist?

Unused Promotional Rendered Models

Inside the 1996 Psygnosis Press Kit, there are many rendered models of characters that didn't make it to the released version of Zombieville.
