Yo-kai Watch is trademarked internationally for video games.[1] It would be followed by merchandising in May.

International Logo Concepts
Some international logo concepts were briefly shown in the localization announcement video for Yo-kai Watch franchise at the Level-5 VISION 2015.[2] Many of the logos appear to stylize the franchise's spelling as either "Yokai Watch" (Which was the English spelling used in merchandise throughout 2014) or "YoKai Watch".

Jibanyan and Whisper were filed for trademarks in the US on December 4, 2014.[3]
2015
April
At the Level-5 Vision 2015 conference in Japan, Akihiro Hino confirmed that Yo-kai Watch would be heading overseas where the game will be localized.
June
E3 2015
The western localization of the game was officially unveiled at E3 2015, slated for a "holiday 2015" release.

This trailer compared to the gameplay feed appears to be based off a slightly earlier build as the following differences can be found:
- Cadin and Negatibuzz still use their Japanese voices.
- "Soultimate Ready!" originally said "Ready!" on the battle screen.
- ??? originally said "CHARGED!"
