This is a sub-page of Prerelease:Street Fighter 6.

What makes World Tour, the open-world RPG mode of Street Fighter 6 so special? It's because you can create your own avatar and write your own story, as you progress through chapter after chapter to find the answer to the question of the meaning of true strength. But during development, there were some notable differences between pre-release and final game.

2019 Pre-Alpha Prototype

In Episode 2 of Red Bull Levels, pre-alpha footage of an early version of the mode was shown. It dated back to sometime around 2019, and had Ryu exploring an earlier Nayshall instead of the player's own customizable avatar.

June 2022 Roster Leak

Barely a day after the game had it's announcement trailer during the 2022 State of Play, concept art showcasing the base roster, including Year 1 DLC characters emerged online. Most of the art is identical to the designs in the final game, with the exceptions of Akuma and Lily. Lily had a different poncho design, and Akuma's hair used to be his classic red with white streaks akin to 3rd Strike. It was changed to a fully stark white when he was officially announced during the SF6 showcase.
