Tech Demo Origins
This game was originally a tech demo produced by Nintendo's Network Business Department, known as "Goldfish Scoop" (金魚すくい), and referred to as a virtual fish tank. Additionally, the Slide Controller was not meant to be used for the Nintendo DS, but would be attached to a console resembling the Game Boy Advance SP.
Although the game was later greatly expanded beyond the virtual fish tank idea, the Goldfish Scoop gameplay was utilized in the "Fish Scoop" (フィッシュすくい) minigame.
